Supporting Students Who Learn Differently
What would it be like to experience the classroom challenges and frustrations that a student with language-based learning disabilities faces each day?
This lively, thought-provoking, hands-on workshop provides an opportunity to experience various language-related tasks frequently encountered in the classroom.
We offer a workshop utilizing the "Experience Dyslexia" framework developed by the IDA-NorCal to better understand the lives of individuals with learning differences. Attendees learn what learning challenges look like in the classroom and ways to accommodate these different learners.
This interactive workshop is specifically designed for professionals in the field of education including school teachers, staff, administrators, school psychologists, and counselors, as well as parents of students with learning challenges.

This workshop aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by equipping educators with empathy and realistic expectations for supporting students with ADHD.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) impacts an estimated 9.8% of U.S. school-aged students from the ages of 3 to 17 years of age. This informative, interactive, and critical workshop provides an opportunity for educators to gain a deeper understanding of the emotional impact ADHD and establish reasonable expectations of students at various stages of development.

During this 2-hour workshop, participants will examine the definition of ADHD and the executive function subskills associated with the disorder. Participants will build an understanding of the neurological components of ADHD

This implementation workshop aims to support teachers as they integrate the LiLa System into their curriculum. Executive function skills developement most effectively when taught within the context of a student’s learning environment. Academic Institution will receive access to a 2-hour implementation workshop, as well as a follow-up session with the purchse of the LiLa System.
The LiLa System supports students as they plan and execute their daily academic and personal responsibilities.

The inspirational stories of two struggling students as they navigate their windy and emotional paths toward success.
Join Lainie and Liz for an emotional and insightful presentation as they share their personal journeys through their “special” education. They will discuss the challenges and triumphs they faced throughout their education and outline strategies that have helped them compensate for their learning differences. Additionally, Lainie and Liz will share insights about how to better support your children as they navigate their way through their education.

This 2-hour workshop focuses on specific note-taking, organization, and study skills. Participants will learn strategies to implement within thier learning environment to support student success and learning.
